Fascial interconnectedness is at the heart of CranioSacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Neural Manipulation, Total Body Balancing, Fascial Balancing, and many other manual therapies.

This trifold reference chart, developed with Tad Wanveer, LMBT, CST-D, shows fascia as the body’s foundational substance in a clear, detailed, and fascinating manner. It illustrates how fascial distortions alter the musculoskeletal system, organs, brain, and spinal cord, and even all the way into the smallest units of the body.

The illustrations make it easy to see how adverse strain can affect the entire fascial matrix, while the commentary explores what happens when fascia becomes disorganized over time.

This trifold reference chart further explores the role of this connective tissue. Fascia from the body interconnects with the meningeal layers encasing the brain and spinal cord, and from there, the meninges connect with the extracellular matrix (ECM) and cells in the central nervous system. Due to this continuity, adverse body-wide fascial tensional patterns can transfer into the brain and spinal cord to generate disruptive effects. And by contrast, the reduction of these unfavorable tensional patterns through manual therapies may create beneficial effects within the brain and spinal cord.

This trifold reference chart will help the layperson understand how fascial deformation causes harmful change throughout the entire body. It will also help the clinician explain how the cause of pain and other symptoms may be due to fascial stress nearby, or far from, the site of dysfunction.

This trifold reference chart is a ‘must’ for all therapists’ offices!

The Fascia Trifold will complement the Fascia Wall Chart, as new information is included in this trifold reference chart.
