Energetic Balancing (EB)
Prerequisite: No course prerequisite for EB1-MS
Energetic Balancing (EB)
Energetic Balancing (EB) bridges the gap between bodywork and energy medicine. Our body stores patterns of physical tension (from poor ergonomics, trauma, surgery, sports injury, car accidents, falls etc.) as well as unresolved emotions, thoughts, beliefs, consciousness, fears, and phobias in the tissues. EB works with the energy dynamics of the anatomy and physiology of the body and aids in releasing both acute and chronic patterns. The body is a dynamic unit of function meaning that mind, body and spirit are interconnected and interdependent, and are in a constantly changing and evolving state. Energetic Balancing is unique in that it addresses and treats all aspects of this unit at the same time! The technique itself is simple, effective, non-invasive and integrative. Utilizing energy dynamics, the EB approach can be performed on or off the body and integrates mind, body and spirit in a focused manner at the core level of dysfunction. Energetic Balancing can be used as an incredibly effective stand-alone technique or can be integrated with other healthcare modalities.
We use the word "Total" to represent a complete system that teaches everything from the patient intake (history), evaluation, treatment, re-evaluation and follow up. The treatment takes into consideration and addresses physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, and consciousness (internal factors) as well as the influence of the environment (external factors). Evaluation and re-evaluation are important steps in this process for both practitioner and patient to measure the effectiveness of EB. This builds both confidence and credibility as a practitioner. Energetic Balancing is a supportive treatment that addresses the body as a total unit while supporting the body’s ability to heal itself.
We use the word "Body" to refer to the physical representation of the sum of the structural, physiological, energetic, mental, emotional, behavioral, consciousness (internal factors) and environmental influences(external factors). This is also known as the "Total Body Lesion".
Over time, our body accumulates tension from physical, biochemical and electromagnetic stress as well as stress from unresolved mental, emotional, behavioral and consciousness issues. This tension can lead to pain, poor posture, and restricted range of motion, altered function and physiology. This unresolved charged tension can result in dis-ease.
We use the word "Energy" to represent the level at which we are creating shifts in the body. Energetic Balancing is a blend of both Eastern and Western medicine. The Eastern approach includes principles of mind/body and energetic dynamics. The Western element includes the study of traditional anatomy and physiology and physical evaluation and treatment. The energetic approach to treatment allows the practitioner to work either on or off the body.
Energetic Balancing draws on Dr. D’Ambrogio’s background as an Osteopath, Physical Therapist, Acupuncture Physician and Senior BodyTalk Instructor. This system applies the key principles of Eastern and Western Medicine into a total approach to health. It truly is the best of both worlds!
Do you ever wonder why certain physical symptoms tend to persist for you and your patient’s no matter what you do? The ability to identify the various factors that have been creating the symptom and holding it in place, will give you the edge in finally dispersing the pattern for lasting results!
This class is designed for students with a background in bodywork or energy medicine who want to take their practice to the next level. All relevant anatomy and physiology will be covered within the context of the course. Students will be given an easy-to-follow procedure chart and will be taught how to dialogue with the body. This simple process allows for the identification of the primary area of physical imbalance as well as any emotional, mental, behavioral, consciousness charge (internal factors) held in the tissue or environmental influences (external factors) that may be triggering the tension. The procedure chart also allows the student to determine the optimum position and approach to release the charge and structural imbalance thus creating a customized approach to balancing the body mind. The ability to dialogue with the body is what allows students to truly customize a session by addressing the specific needs of the client as opposed to being restricted to a set protocol of techniques.
You will also learn how to address any imbalances caused as a result of foreign objects in the body. Artificial joints, pacemakers, IUDs, dental appliances etc. can cause fascial tension and postural distortion.
One of the most exciting aspects of this course is that EB can be used for self-treatment. This class will teach you skills to self-evaluate and balance structural imbalances on your own body. You will also learn how to treat clients at a distance.
You will walk away from this class feeling confident to immediately incorporate your new skills into your practice and your own self-care.
Energetic Balancing is divided into 3 levels, each of which is four days in length.
Energetic Balancing 1: Musculoskeletal System (EB1-MS) will introduce you to the fundamental philosophies and principles of EB. This module will focus on the physical aspects of the Local Lesion. You will learn how to dialogue with the body, how to navigate through the procedure chart, and how to evaluate and treat dysfunction at the physical level. Our focus will be the musculoskeletal system which includes superficial fascia/scars, deep fascia (bone, muscles/tendons, joints, ligaments, and sutures), meningeal fascia (dural tube) and foreign objects. You will be taken through a step by step process of a clinical visit covering intake, documentation, initial evaluation, re-evaluation and follow up. You will also learn how to apply these concepts to self-treatment, face-to-face treatment sessions, and remote treatment sessions. Prerequisite: no course prerequisite
The class was EXCELLENT! Informative, interesting, well presented, fun, and very well organized. I’m looking forward to developing what I learned in class.
Energetic Balancing 2: Mind Body 2 (EB2-MB) will review key concepts and principles covered in EB1-MS and offer new distinction. Level 1 addressed the physical aspect of the Total Body Lesion by focusing on the musculoskeletal system. EB2-MB will expand on the physical aspect by introducing treatment of the supporting network behind the musculoskeletal system such as the organs, endocrines, sense organs, nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatics. EB2-MB will also expand on the Total Body Lesion by introducing the influence of the ":charge" held in the tissues as a result of mental, emotional, behavioral (internal factors), and environmental triggers (external factors). Additions to the procedure chart allow you to identify and disperse this tension as a key part of the treatment process. This module honors the fact that the body is a dynamic unit of function (mind, body and spirit) by incorporating the influence of the mind on the physical body. These new concepts can also be integrated into the self-treatment introduced in EB1-MS. Prerequisite EB1-MS
Energetic Balancing Total Body (EB3-TB) is a Total Body Approach used to evaluate and treat energetic lesions in the total body. EBTB expands on the content presented in EB1-MS and EB2-MB by including instruction on how to evaluate and treat energetic lesions throughout the supporting physical (nervous, arteriovenous, and lymphatic systems) and emotional/energetic networks (chakras and acupuncture meridians) of the body. This course also examines External Factors and the concept of Consciousness, and how both can influence the total body lesion. Treatment locations also include fascial chains, regions, imagery, and combinations of the total body energy systems. Additional activation tools are introduced. Instruction includes how to perform energetic self-treatment sessions, face to face treatment sessions, and remote treatment sessions. Prerequisite EB1-MS and EB2-MB
