EIA: Ethics in Action
EIA-V July 12, 2022 Virtual Eastern Time (Miami)
An essential aspect of being a professional practitioner is learning to set healthy boundaries with your clients. Healthy boundaries are critical for the discernment of ethical and non-ethical feelings, tendencies and behaviors in the treatment room.
In this 3-hour virtual class, Suzanne Scurlock shares with you how to treat in an ethical manner utilizing your therapeutic presence. The skills of full body presence develop or enhance somatic and boundary awareness, as well as the tools necessary to be grounded, and energetically full. This course contains theoretical frameworks and discussion of the permeable, semi-permeable and rigid boundaries necessary for dealing ethically with the intimacy of the therapeutic connection in bodywork. All of these important skills enable you to establish and maintain ethical professional relationships, and can be implemented into your practice immediately.
YOU WILL BE PROVIDED THE ON-LINE ACCESS INFORMATION 5-6 DAYS PRIOR TO THE COURSE. Please respect the integrity of the work and the program, and the privacy of participants and presenter/s. No still or video screen captures are permitted during this program.
The workshop will contain lecture, discussion, question and answer periods, as well as experiential guided meditations, and journaling. Having pen and paper and/or your journal available may be helpful.
