There is a prevalence of Tongue-Tie (Ankyloglossia) in our society among teens and adults. Tension in the mouth from unresolved or unidentified oral tethering may be the source of a client's pain or dysfunction.
We’re excited to bring you this opportunity to expand your CranioSacral Therapy skills to help people with these conditions. Discover ways to assist adults and teens who have residual issues from tongue-tie, which can show up as issues throughout the whole body.
In this class, you will review pertinent anatomy and function in order to determine if a tethered oral tissue exists. CranioSacral Therapy techniques that have been shown to assist people with ankyloglossia will be discussed and reviewed.
It will be helpful to have your previous CST Study Guides available during the program to reference. In addition, reviewing the appropriate anatomy in the Temporomandibular Joint Evaluation and Treatment Plan Pocket Guide is recommended, available at http://shop.iahe.com/Product-List/Charts-and-Posters/Temporomandibular-Joint-Evaluation-and-Treatment-Plan-Pocket-Guide.
