SCB1: Visceral Manipulation: Strategic Crossroads of the Body 1
SCB1 July 16-18, 2021 Palm Beach, Florida

During this course we will see the most important fascial and peritoneal crossroads where nerves, arteries, veins and lymph canals have the risk to be compressed in case of retraction, fibrosity due to surgery, accidents, hormonal dysbalance, and systemic diseases.

Fascia and peritoneum are considered envelopes giving an immunological and mechanical protection to their contents. They allow a smooth sliding for the structures they surround. The fibers have very specific directions and logic according to their different mechanical roles. Fascia has more of a role of an electromagnetic wave driver and definitely a role for the nutritional elements that they encompass. At some levels, there are intersections of peritoneal and fascial fibers. In these areas, the peritoneal and fascial fibers are often naturally thicker. Sometimes following infectious or traumatic factors they become indurated. They can create real deleterious effects on the neurovascular and visceral systems. This seminar will enable you to identify the most exposed intersections, and release their tensions by specific and precise manual techniques.

Description:
During this course we will see the most important fascial and peritoneal crossroads where nerves, arteries, veins and lymph canals have the risk to be compressed in case of retraction, fibrosity due to surgery, accidents, hormonal dysbalance and systemic diseases.

Advance Preparation: No required advance preparation, but studying pre-requisite notes and study guides may be a helpful review.

Supplies: PLEASE BRING A MASSAGE/TREATMENT TABLE. Due to liability issues, meeting sites may not allow banquet tables to be used as treatment tables. Additionally, treatment tables provide a safer and more comfortable environment for the lab portion of class. We understand some travel may not make massage/treatment table transport possible – when you receive an email from us asking about massage/treatment tables, please simply reply accordingly.

AFTER you sign in and pick-up your name tag at the seminar, set your massage/treatment table in front of the pre-set chairs in the meeting room.

Attire: Comfortable, loose fitting clothes. As many of these manipulations require an exposed abdominal cavity, we encourage you to bring a bath towel, clothing suitable for skin contact (lab clothes), and appropriate undergarments so that you are comfortable if they are exposed during the lab sessions. During trades you may be in varied stages of undress, but during lecture time and in common areas of the meeting site outside of the classroom, please return to a fully clothed professional appearance.

Due to potential chemical sensitivities of your classmates, please refrain from wearing perfumes or oils to class.

Due to the nature of the work, short finger nails are required.
