Learn how gentle, specific manual techniques can help release restrictions in the abdominal and neuromeningeal systems -improving comfort, function and regulation for your pediatric clients.
In this 3 day introductory workshop, you will: • Learn the anatomy, physiology, and function of the abdominal organs in infants and children • Understand the autonomic nervous system and its role in regulation, self-regulation, and co-regulation • Practice visceral manipulation techniques for the stomach, liver, jejuonileum, large intestine, and abdominal sphincters to assist with issues like colic, reflux, constipation, digestive imbalances, and joint discomfort • Explore how visceral restrictions affect organ mobility and motility—and how to restore healthy movement • Learn cranial anatomy, dural system palpation, and gentle induction techniques for the neuromeningeal system • Recognize signs of trauma and the importance of emotional regulation before hands-on treatment • Learn how to treat conditions in babies and children with like reflux, colic, constipation, irritability, sleep disturbance, and recurrent infections • Observe video and live demonstrations incorporating these techniques with a child and baby • Gain tools to teach parents calming, supportive techniques
