CSPT: CranioSacral Presentation Tools
CSPT March 5-9, 2025 Auburn, California
Teacher/Presenter:
The following is an overview of the CranioSacral Presentation Tools class. During the first day of class the instructor will review the CranioSacral Therapy (CST) class material included in ShareCare, Overview of CST, and Introduction to CST; review the presentation evaluation form used in class; and discuss topics such as presenting CST class information, presenting to diverse groups, organizing your presentation, creating and using PowerPoint or Keynote slides, and finding your personal style of presenting.
During the remainder of the class (days two through five) you will present a total of four times. Each presentation will last thirty minutes. Your presentation is followed by a thirty-minute period in which the instructor and class participants comment upon your presentation. You are asked to attend all of the presentations.
You will receive notification of your specific presentations three months prior to class. The general presentation topics will be the following:
a group of your choice, such a “parents of children on the autism spectrum” or “massage therapists;”
a CST lecture, such as “the craniosacral system and Pressurestat model;”
a CST technique, such as “dural tube rock and glide.” The CST lecture will be given two times.
Participation in the class does not guarantee that you will be a certified presenter at the end of the class. Certification depends upon the scores you receive on your presentations by the instructor and upon the instructor’s recommendation. You will receive your class evaluations within two weeks of completion of the class that will contain your evaluation scores, notification of presenter status, suggestions on how to improve your presentations and any follow-up work needed for presenter certification.
This class is designed to help you become a confident presenter within a supportive and caring environment.
Description:
This class is designed to help you become a confident presenter within a supportive and caring environment. You will learn to present to diverse groups as well as to present the CranioSacral Therapy (CST) Overview and ShareCare classes. Upon satisfactory completion of this class you will be a certified UII CST presenter.
CSPT will also help you enhance your skills as a CST practitioner. In the UII credo Dr. Upledger says that one goal of the CST practitioner is to, "... explain to any patient/client... what is going on in the most simple and straightforward terms possible." This class will help you accomplish that goal.
This class is designed for a maximum of six participants and will be held for 5 consecutive days. Each person will have time to practice multiple presentations, to receive feedback and suggestions to enhance each presentation, and receive class participant feedback.

Advance Preparation:
Your acceptance into the course is not official until the application form and written recommendations from 2 UII CST instructors are processed and approved. Your completed application will be processed within 10 business days of receipt. The application and recommendation forms can be found online at https://www.upledger.com/docs/presenter-info.docx.
You may find it helpful in preparing your presentations to read material, such as The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs: How to Be Insanely Great in Front of Any Audience, by Carmine Gallo; Slide:ology, The Art and Science of Creating Great Presentations, by Nancy Durante; or material about presenting that intuitively feels right to you.
Viewing great presentations can be inspiring and educational. There are many superb presentations on TED http://www.ted.com talks, and on YouTube.
Lynda.com, in Tad Wanveer's opinion, is a fantastic resource. The site has wonderful videos on how to present, and it has video tutorials on using all sorts of software, such as PowerPoint or Keynote. Lynda.com offers monthly or yearly subscriptions. YouTube also has tutorials on presenting and using PowerPoint or Keynote.
