Experiences throughout the Life Cycle for the Practitioner and Client
This course helps the practitioner develop more fully as an integrated therapist by focusing on how one's experience of loss throughout the life cycle deepens emotional maturity and compassion in one's practice. Attendees will explore how profound transformational change often grows out of deep loss throughout the life cycle, as one experiences the completion of the emotional aspects of the biological process.
This is a practical workshop, which includes manual techniques and specific exercises for the therapist’s personal growth and is designed as preparation for the application of techniques with patients who suffered from a loss, a grief or abandonment.
Tools are presented to support clients in their various stages of grief following a loss; whether the loss is the death of loved ones or when caused by something considered as “small death”- which can be situations or scenarios that can occur in an individual’s life cycle (i.e. loss of job, degenerative disease, etc.). The tools offered allow the opportunity to get closer to some specific phases of the life cycle, including death and transition.
The program is designed so that the techniques are performed on yourself, so you will also receive therapeutic benefits. The self-treatment audio guide will be recorded and audio files will be sent to students after the course.
